About the Tanya Newer
Tanya Newer is a devoted writer, singer, and child of God from the San Francisco Bay Area. Born in 1935, Tanya was raised in a faith-filled home where she began serving in church from a young age—as a worship leader, children’s ministry volunteer, preacher, and event coordinator. Her love for ministry and music was evident early on and continued to grow throughout her life.
In 1955, she married the love of her life, Harry Newer. Together they raised four children — Mike, Jeanne, Maureen, and David — and built a beautiful life rooted in faith, family, and community. Now living in the Temecula area, Tanya continues to live a vibrant and purpose-filled life.
Around the age of 80, she recorded her first gospel album, Because He Lives, showcasing her enduring passion for music and ministry.
At the age of 89, she wrote her first book, God Said, He Is The One, featuring a cover photo of her beloved husband, Harry. In the early 2000s, she also authored Pemberley at Last, a creative continuation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.
Tanya’s life is a testament to grace, perseverance, and the power of faith through every season..
